A Little More About Me
My passion for yoga began as an psychology undergraduate. I started practicing using free YouTube videos as I wanted to become more flexible. Before long, I began noticing the significant benefits it provided, not only physically but mentally and emotionally also. I felt clear-headed
, calm and grounded. I was amazed by how such a simple practice could have such a profound effect on the way I was able to move through life off the mat. I fell in love with the practice and started doing it on daily basis.

This led me down a path of discovery of all things wellness, including mindfulness and meditation. I n my final year I took a volunteer opportunity setting up a mindfulness course for people that were recovering from drug and alcohol misuse. This really sparked my interest and passion for sharing something that had helped me so much in my own life. It made me want to inspire others as I had been inspired myself. I graduated and began a career within the wellness world, working as a social prescriber in the charity sector and then for workplace wellness start-up company, helping companies set up a meditation programme for their employees. Currently, I continue to work for a digital mental health platform, something I find incredibly rewarding.

During the covid lockdown, I decided to take the plunge and embark on a 200hr yoga teacher training course with Nourish Yoga Training. They have a big focus on making yoga inclusive, joyful and accessible to all - something that I think is so important. Yoga to me, is way more than being bendy, touching your toes and doing handstands. It's a practice that evolves and changes everyday and has incredible benefits no matter what your ability is, or what your body can do.

My mission as a yoga teacher is to create a welcome space for anyone and everyone to move and breathe. To inspire them to listen to their body, move intuitively and compassionately, and most importantly...to have fun!
